Climate change is heating up the country and drying up rivers and lakes. Thousands could die in Kenya. Kenya has been very dry in recent years due to climate change. Long time ago there was minimal rainfall but now, the weather is very unpredictable.

 

 

Patrick knew he had to do something, so he rented a truck with his money, filled it with fresh water, and set out for the desert during the hot summer months to water the animals. The water was taken away.

Each trip costs 100 dollar from his own savings. He chose to help the dying animals because they have the right to live, just like any other living thing on the face of the earth.                            

 

At first the wild animals did not trust him but when he started coming daily, one by one they all started coming. Elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, even the most dangerous animals like lions and leopards all came from one man to drink water.

Patrick was a little scared the first time he started supplying water because the animals were around him but over time, he realized that he was their savior.  Patrick has been doing this for the past five years during the drought season when his health was also deteriorating, think for a second there is a man in Kenya with health problems and a truck full of water to quench the thirst of wild animals Watering.
